The Background
Search Laboratory is a digital marketing agency in Leeds, employing over 100 members of staff. The traditional working environment is office-based, set across three floors and split out across departments.
The Challenge
During the pandemic, Search Laboratory had been operating remotely with all staff working from their homes. However, with the easing of lockdown measures, Search Laboratory had been looking at safe ways to reopen its office for staff that would wish to return. As such, Search Laboratory needed a solution to make the office environment as comfortable and safe as possible for staff to work in.
The Solution
Based on the wide range of business products and PPE we have, we showcased Search Laboratory a variety of recommended items that would be ideal to support the safe return to the office. This included key PPE essentials such as hand sanitiser, face masks, social distancing markers and personal office items.
As company branding was key to this project, we selected products that were colour print-friendly, allowing us to perfectly print Search Laboratory’s logo and colour palette onto. For personal items such as the cups and gym sacks, we printed the name of each employee onto the items, further helping to confine set items to one member of staff.
The Result
Based on a brief delivered by Search Laboratory, Involution designed and created their custom ‘Return to Work’ kit for each member of staff. Branded up as Search Laboratory’s ‘Office Survival Kit’, 140 staff members were gifted company branded reusable face masks, a personalised named mug, and anti-bacterial hand gel which came complete in a personalised named gym sack.
From the design stage to delivery, the full production and distribution took five working days.
Emma Clayton, Facilities and Health and Safety Coordinator at Search Laboratory said: “We really wanted staff to feel comfortable about returning to the office and we thought this was a great way to help them feel at ease. The staff loved the kits, one staff member said it “brought tears to her eyes” at how nice the gesture was.
The packs have not only contributed to our safety measures, but they have also made people smile during what is a very strange time. It has been a great way of showing our staff how much we value them and how important their safety is to us.
Involution was really receptive, and even when there was a last-minute problem with a couple of the packs, they were able to turn it around really quickly. The initial designs were professionally presented, and they were priced well too. I would definitely work with Involution again.”
