We are delighted to have had the opportunity to sponsor The Howarths Foundation charity football match! The event was a fundraiser to raise money for the charity to continue their fantastic work of helping the homeless back into employment and housing.
After completing the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge which was also dedicated to the charity, we were really excited to be the headline sponsor of their charity football match. It was our chance to shine as we supplied the squad with a fully bespoke football kit and had our very own Account Manager and star player, Jake, take to the pitch to represent.
Creating A World Class Kit For Team Howarth
For the event, we wanted Team Howarth to play in the best kit possible so that on the big day, they would look as fierce as their skills and truly look the part! We created a custom design, celebrating the Howarth’s brand in a striking black and orange kit, with multi-branding opportunities.
The fully branded kit included the charity name to the left chest, as per tradition, with their second sponsor featured to the right, and as the headline sponsor, the Involution logo proudly featured on the centre torso. To the back of the kit, player numbers were printed, and whilst usually names would sit above this, the charity opted for a generic solution of their logo, to kit longevity for future games.
The Juve Sports Set was the perfect option, a solution ideal for any grass-root sports team also. It’s a beautiful kit that comes in various colourways with the ability to print to various positions to suit the purpose. Alongside the effective customisation options, these kits are designed and delivered to a quick lead time, an affordable and professional football kit for any team to play in.
The shorts received further personalisation featuring a log printed on each leg, for further brand promotion. Now, no football kit is complete, unless it features a home and away jersey, and this is exactly what The Howarths Foundation received, a full kit ready to compete on the road or at home.
Alongside the kit, we also designed custom branded water bottles for The Howarths Foundation team, so that on the event, the team could stay hydrated in style, perfectly matched to their branded kits. We recommended the Tarn Smoked Sports Bottle to be decorated with charity branding, the black bottle with accent orange features was a lovely colour scheme that perfectly matched their brand colours and kit. The full squad looked professional and on brand.
Kick Off! How The Day Unfolded
The Howarths Foundation charity football match was played on the 18th August 2024 at the West Riding County FC football ground, the pitch looked fantastic and delivered a football game worthy of a TV audience as the game came to a dramatic draw that went onto penalties.
The charity football match turned out to be a magnificent event for all who attended with something for everyone, from diggers, to bouncy castles, face painting, food and drinks.
Onto what turned out to be a great game of football for us all to enjoy, the match was played between a team of celebrities ranging from Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and ex-professional footballers, against The Howarths Foundation; who were hoping to hold onto their victory from last year.
Our very own, Jake Chambers (Account Manager) played in the event and delivered a 5-star performance that we are all proud of. Jake went on to win a penalty for the team in the closing minutes of the game, unfortunately picking up an injury from the tackle. But it was not in vain as Team Howarth went on to win the football match 5-3 on penalties, after a 3-3 final match score.
Hear from the star boy himself, Jake, on the event:
“Sunday was a great day for an even better cause, everyone who was involved in anyway should be super proud of themselves! It was a really competitive game with some great goals and mostly importantly The Howarths Foundation team came out victorious. The kit went down a storm with the lads in the dressing room, a bit of shirt swapping went on to make sure everyone had the right size! There was a thick cloud containing a mixture of deep heat and freeze spray in the dressing room to get the lads going but it must have done the trick as we were able to get the win for the second year in a row!”
Football fanatic, Jay, our Warehouse Operative said: “It was a very well put together event with lots of activities to enjoy, I think Team Howarth would have won the game in full-time if Jake wasn’t injured – the final outcome was well-deserved”.
Wrapping Up The Event
It was a fantastic day, and a huge well done to all who took part and supported the football fundraiser - it proved to be a great game with lots of action and chanting from the side-lines.
We are immensely proud to have sponsored this charity football match for The Howarths Foundation, as we know the impact their foundation has on local communities. Thank you to Andy, who spoke to us at the event to hear about their future plans, which excited us to continue supporting them where we can.
The Howarths Foundation football kit marked a special moment for us as we not only got to create and sponsor the kit, but watched as they lifted the trophy in their victory too. We’ll look forward to next year’s match where the kit will hopefully lead them onto their next win in the future too. Thanks again to The Howarths Foundation for a fantastic day out!
