At Involution, we like to continue to support charities wherever we can, and our supportive staff are always wanting to contribute to events to help raise money for Martin House.
On the 1st of August, we launched our jumble sale for the Involution staff to get their hands on some goodies for a good cause. Ranging from polos to trousers to jackets, our sale included items that were in great condition but no longer returnable; so, what better way to raise money and give back to our staff also. With absolute bargains to be made like our £5 jackets and £1 for anything else, the sale was a success with goodies being snatched up.
There is a special reason for the sale and why we wanted to raise money. Martin House is a Leeds charity that provides care for young people with life-limiting illnesses.
We have a fond connection to the charity and commend the Martin House Children’s Hospice for the care and support they provide families across Yorkshire. With £75 raised directly from team donations, Involution matched the total sales to fundraise a brilliant total of £150 for the charity.
Whether staff left with a goodie or two, or nothing at all, their generosity was wholehearted, contributing still with donations to show their support.
We know that any donation, small or large, will allow the charity to continue their family-led support and hard work of looking after children and young people to give them a better life.
Well done Team Involution for contributing to such a fantastic cause.
Looking ahead, more charitable events are taking place in the coming months such as our annual bake sale for the Macmillan charity in September, followed by a 10k run for Age UK in October, so keep your eyes peeled.
